Transfer-Case is an electronically controlled shifting
gearbox which is used to connect the 4-wheel drive in
modern passenger vehicles. This highly sophisticated
end application demands the shift-on-fly control to
change to the 4-wheel drive (4-H) mode from the typical
2-wheel drive (2-H) mode in the car.
The clutch
coil is an electromagnetic sub-component of the Transfer
Case, controlled by the electronic control module which
generates the Electromagnet inside the Transfer Case
during shifts from 2-H to 4-H.. The clutch coil is activated
by a voltage from the batter for the 2-H to 4-H shift.
Activation of the Clutch coil shall occur with the shift
operation and shall remain until the synchronization
of the speeds is achieved and then this will be disconnected
before the next similar cycle.
